Cleft lips and palates are birth defects that result when facial structures do not develop properly in an unborn baby or during pregnancy.

Patients with cleft lips and palates will be provided corrective surgery free of charge at Neak Tep Hospital. The fund is supported by Smile Train, a non-profit organization and charity providing corrective surgery for children with cleft lips and palates.

In addition, if patients have health equity cards provided by the Cambodian government, they also receive financial support for transportation fees and food allowances. This support extends to a maximum of two days of hospitalization.

The surgery is performed by a highly skilled Dr. Sar Vuthy, who is a member of our founders and one of the most well-recognized surgeons in the country.
